Yapp or yapped- Refers to the edges of the cover of a book bound in paper or another soft material.
These yapped edges are not flush with the pages but extend beyond the edges of the book and are fragile by nature.
Yellowback - An inexpensive mid-1800s English paperback novel usually sold in railway stations. The
paper bindings were usually, but not always yellow.
Yellowed - Usually refers to the yellow fore-edges and pages of paperbacks, which is caused either
by fading, age or acid in the paper.
